Just take my lead.

Instead of dragging me
where you think I need
to go why don’t you have
a little faith in my sense
of direction and just take
a deep breath and come
along with me for once?

It would go far in the way
of getting me to want to
spend any time with you.

On those rare occasions
when I actually open up
and attempt to let you in
please just take my lead.

You’re going to head
in the wrong direction
and I am done going
there just because you
decide that’s the path.

I’m done.
I’m really done.

This is where
I am going.
Come with me or
get out of my way.
