Life (And Death) Lessons

Be forthright.
Be true.

Be ashamed of it

if you must

but you have
to be honest.

This is a game,
whether you like
it or not and
I am most
definitely not
playing along.

Life will kill you
all by itself.

It doesn’t need
your help to
accomplish its
purpose.

But you don’t
have to make it
easy for her.

In fact,
I think that is
the whole point.

Be sorry.
Be wrong.

Be flippant about it

if you must

but you have
to accept it.

This is a game,
and you are
no good at it
so I wonder why
you bother trying
to play along.

Life will teach you
everything you need
to know about dying.

All you have to do
is ask her nicely.

And really listen
to what she
has to say.
